Chairman: Jørgen Smidt
Jorgen brings to TeleFaction more than 22 years of international operational and business management experience from the mobile telecoms industry. His business development expertise includes the analysis and implementation of investment and international marketing, market positioning and communication strategies. Prior to TeleFaction, Jørgen’s career in Nokia spanned 13 years.
At Nokia, he was responsible for a variety of senior management positions ranging from Vice President of the emerging Broadband Systems business unit to heading Nokia’s Operation Solutions and Services in the Americas, Europe and Middle East where Jorgen was responsible for building Nokia fast growing services business. In addition, Jørgen held senior management positions globally with Nokia Enterprise Mobility Solutions, Nokia Business Development and Nokia Mobile Internet Applications.
Before that, Jørgen served six years with Motorola in senior product management and operational functions in Denmark, Sweden, and the USA. Furthermore, Jørgen has co-founded Baltic Investment Holding, a property development fund based in Estonia.
Jørgen holds an engineering degree in computer science from the Engineering College of Copenhagen. Jørgen’s native language is Danish and he speaks fluent English.
CEO: Frederik Abildtrup
Fredrik came to TeleFaction in 2005 with the objective of creating growth and internationalising TeleFaction. This is done by creating value for TeleFaction’s customers and ensuring that TeleFaction maintains the innovation that has formed the basis for the company.
He has many years of business experience, primarily in sales and management; most recently as the Division Executive with T-Systems Denmark, a company of Deutsche Telekom, where he was responsible for 100 employees. Fredrik Abildtrup is a graduate from the Copenhagen Business School with a degree in International Marketing and Management. Moreover, he has a master’s degree in International Business obtained via the CEMS-programme at the Universität zu St. Gallen in Switzerland.
Fredrik is married with three children. In his spare time, he is all about sports and wine. Fredrik speaks Danish, German and English.
CFO: Rolf Ussing
Rolf joined TeleFaction in 2008, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge from the Danish Technology sector. He currently shares his time with companies such as Issuu, Epista Software and Cloud Made Ltd. Prior to joining TeleFaction, Rolf was the Finance Director at FolkeFerie, the Danish vacation homes company.
Rolf is a holds a business degree in accounting. His native language is Danish, with fluent English skills and German abilities.
In his spare time, he likes to play golf, badminton and plays in and ‘Old-boys’ football team.
